Describes and discusses the musical instruments portrayed in the early 14th-century East Anglian Macclesfield Psalter, now in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, MS 1-2005 and illustrates many of them. The depictions included nine long trumpets, five short trumpets, five fiddles, pipe and tabor, horn, organ, bagpipes, citole, pipe, flute, hurdy gurdy, and bells.
