  abstract = {A lab. expt. suitable for a third-year inorg. chem. lab. is presented that utilizes a glove box. The synthesis of a copper complex that has a distinct color change to indicate byproduct oxidn. by oxygen provides students an opportunity to utilize basic lab. techniques in a glove box to achieve significantly better results than the usage of Schlenk techniques. While a few students had trouble working with the gloves, all have gained an appreciation of the unique challenges and skills needed to utilize this unusual piece of equipment. [on SciFinder (R)]},
