[Excerpt] This species is classed as Least Concern as it is widespread with stable populations and does not face any major threats. [::Range Description] Tamarix parviflora occurs as native species in the east Mediterranean and some eastern European countries including Turkey, Greece, Albania, Yugoslavia and Italy (Baum 1978). Its native occurrence in Spain and North African countries is doubtful. [::Countries] Native:Albania; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Croatia; Greece; Italy; Macedonia, the former Yugoslav Republic of; Montenegro; Serbia (Kosovo, Serbia, Serbia); Slovenia; Turkey (Turkey-in-Asia) Introduced:Spain [::Population] Unknown, but expected to be either stable or even increasing [::Habitat and Ecology] T. parviflora occurs in pebbly river banks, damp sites near river banks and well watered forests on lime (Baum 1978). [::Use and Trade] The main use of T. parviflora is as a garden plant. [::Major Threat(s)] No current or future threats are known for this species.
