We demonstrate the transmission of 1.55-μm, 10-Gb/s VCSEL signals over 20-km standard single-mode fiber without any dispersion compensation. Thanks to the use of DC-balanced line coding and delay interferometer, receiver sensitivity better than -15 dBm is achieved after transmission.
