Together with Gaebelein's Pattern of God's Truth, the most important work on integration from this early decade in the history of faith-learning integration. This Saint Olaf College self-study sets out to examine "all the possible integrative factors‥.in a modern liberal arts program," and also to trace "the history of integrative efforts in education‥.from ancient Greece to mid-twentieth century America." (viii) It concludes that the student should be the locus of integration.
