As aprendizagens desenvolvidas por crianças com o uso de brinquedos de programar. Angerami, P. L., Raabe, A. L. A., & Rosário, T. A. M. d. Dialogia, 2022.
Paper doi abstract bibtex Programmable toys allow children to program a set of instructions to be executed by the toy. This provides opportunities for the development of logical and mathematical concepts in a playful way. This research aims to evidence different types of learning developed by 5 to 6 years-old children from a kindergarten school when using a programmable toy. This empirical research, part of a Master's thesis in Education, adopted a qualitative approach and carried out a systematic participant observation based on a set of pre-defined criteria, and used filming as a form of recording. The main theoretical framework was Papert's constructionism (1980), for the practices developed and also in the analysis of records. The conclusion of the research indicates that the programmable toy was easily integrated into Early Childhood Education activities, providing the development of skills related to problem-solving and computational thinking.
