	abstract = {2.	This paper promotes a functional approach to ‘scientific perspectivism’ (M. Massimi and P. Teller), as applied to scientific models and clarifies why perspectivism entails model pluralism. A functional approach to perspectivism offers a path of reconciliation between model pluralism and scientific realism. 
The argument consist of these steps: i) revisits issues in contemporary perspectivism and how they relate to models; ii) reconsiders an account of models (Frigg and Nguyen) in which representation accuracy are central; iii) reformulates such an account in functionalist terms; iv) relates scientific perspectives to various representational functions in probabilistic terms; v) characterizes model pluralism as a functionalist feature and vi) discusses model convergence in functionalist terms and the prospect of reconciling realism and pluralism. The paper emphasizes the advantages of a functional/probabilistic approach to perspectivism: ability to formalize convergence of some models and the stability of some models to a change of perspectives.},
