	abstract = {QMOB is a grassroots organization of LGBTQIA+ Muslims in the Boston Area. QMOB is open to queer and trans people who identify with Islam, whether in faith, culture, or background, regardless of level of practice or belief, and inclusive of any and all sects. We build community and provide support for queer Muslims through social events, spiritual gatherings, and activism. QMOB also advocates for the needs of queer and trans Muslims, and provides educational opportunities for the greater Boston community.

QMOB exists because everyone deserves a space to be held in loving community as their whole selves.

Founded by three queer Muslims, QMOB recognizes, honors, and privileges the leadership, perspectives, and input of women, trans, and nonbinary Muslims, and is committed to the safety and flourishing of those most marginalized in the group.

While QMOB is open to diverse perspectives and orientations, no space will be held for racism, sexism, misogyny, transphobia, bi-phobia/erasure, xenophobia, ableism, sectarianism, or fatphobia. We also take steps to respect and honor the privacy of each member of our community.},
