L’alienazione genitoriale: Le dinamiche relazionali. Arrigoni, L. Terapia Familiare, Italy, 2013. ID: DOI:10.3280/TF2013-102003; TT: Parental alienation: Relational dynamicsabstract bibtex A relational and diachronic interpretation is proposed for the onset and persistence of parental alienation, or the apparently unjustified rejection of a parent by a child. It is believed that the separation problem and the willingness of a parent to alienate the other as described in the literature on Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) are not sufficient factors to explain this relational disorder. To this end, some cases of alienation are illustrated to highlight the relational dynamics preceding the separation and the behavior of the members of the family unit. The accuracy of the diagnosis and the resulting interventions are construed as important protection factors. Even if the cases illustrated are derived from evaluative and non-therapeutic context, some considerations are proposed in view of the treatment.
