The article presents the impact of Web development on the political economy of the Web. It informs that theoretical assumptions on Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 can impact the people's experience of technologies. It mentions the issues associated with Web 2.0 technologies which include flow of personal information, exploitation of free labor and powerful tools for peer surveillance. It further informs that a searchable question and answer platform on Web 3.0 called quora.com which works through social networking sites. It also mentions that communicative processes can be developed with the help of Web which is a socio-technical system.
