In a continuation of our efforts to make use of computers in the interpretation of complex mass spectrometric datal we have selected the determination of the amino acid sequence in peptides as a specific example. This problem seemed to lend itself particularly well to a complete solution even at this early stage because the structures of oligopeptides follow a few strict requirements which can be simply expressed in computer language.
