Website abstract bibtex The article addresses the relationship between the three most significant principles of good practice for assessing student learning in regard to learning analytics in higher education. These principles include the efficacy of an assessment when it reflects an understanding of learning as multidimensional, integrated and revealed in performance over time and the likeliness to lead to improvement when it is part of a larger set of conditions that promote change. Also discussed are the seven underpinning propositions of "Assessment 2020: Seven Propositions for Assessment Reform in Higher Education."
