Trabalho imaterial, cultura e dominação. Camargo, S.
abstract   bibtex
The idea of immaterial labor as central to the current historical context also regards contemporary cultural transformations. The objective here is to conceive of the intertwining of immaterial labour and the production of culture as a key aspect of a new moment in the history of capitalism, or late capitalism. In this sense, this article examines issues deriving from the Frankfurt School tradition, mainly the concept of Cultural Industry. The hypothesis is that the concept of Cultural Industry and its demise by post-industrial approaches is central to the understanding of how this new stage demands from us a new way of looking at domination and emancipation.
