The obtaining of vegetable material of good sanitary, physiologic and faithful quality to their type, in ornamental species of Bromeliáceae, common as well as promissory, are important and necessary to consider in the processes of vegetative propagation. The growing demand of these species make necessary the exploration of new propagation methods that allow to obtain bigger quantity of plants in shorter times. In this sense the plants obtained coming from cultivations in vitro are presented as alternative in the propagation system. In this work it was standardized the multiplication, rooting and adaptation to external conditions, as well as the study respectively of the flowering of the species Neoregelia spp and Guzmania rana. In the multiplication phase in vitro of the Neoregelia species, two citoquininas types were evaluated (bencilaminopurine BAP and 2-furfurilaminopurine, KIN) between Murashige & Skoog (MS) during three weeks. In the rooting phase the auxin indolebutiricacid (AIB) was evaluated between MS. It was found that the citoquinin that stimulus but the multiplication of Neoregelia was the KIN in 1,0 mg/L; while for the rooting of this species differences were not presented among the treatment with AIB and the witness, without regulator of growth. On the other hand, the growing demand of Bromeliads, demands the obtaining of promissory genotypes that satisfy the markets. In this sense, this work advances in the basic studies of flowering to begin to develop the technique of sexual hybridization. It is also studied the flowering pattern and the fertility and viability of the pollen in the species Guzmania rana. It was found that this species presents an incomplete flowering, with a disposition of the stamens that allows them to move with the wind, it also presents a mechanism controller of the pollination, called longistilia La obtención de material vegetal de buena calidad sanitaria, fisiológica y fiel a su tipo, en especies ornamentales de bromeliáceas tanto comunes como promisorias son elementos importantes y necesarios para considerar en los procesos de propagación vegetativa.
