Awareness of anosognosia following head trauma. Dalla Barba, G., Bartolomeo, P., Ergis, A., Boissé, M., & Bachoud-Lévi, A. Neurocase, 5(1):59–67, 1999.
abstract   bibtex
We report on a patient, JA who, following a head trauma, developed a dysexecutive syndrome and a moderate learning deficit. JA was completely unaware of his cognitive deficits. However, he was aware of his anosognosia. This dissociation between anosognosia and awareness of anosognosia is discussed in terms of the independence of reflective and irreflective consciousness.
