The invention relates to a method for determining the vegetation condition of crops by means of a drone-type aerial spectral monitoring system for evaluating the vegetation condition of the crops monitored in infrared spectrum, in order to early identify the modifications occurred in the plant health condition, before they are obvious in the visible spectrum. According to the invention, the method has the following stages: introducing the monitored crop limits, flight planning, operations of checking drone integrity before starting the flight, flying and taking images of the monitored crops, securing the drone landing perimeter of a diameter of minimum 5 m, for the staff safety, stopping the engines, processing raw data on the vegetation condition of the monitored crops and making maps related to the crop vegetation condition, determining the crop vegetation condition by experimental validation of the vegetation condition in the field, making the final map on the vegetation condition of the monitored crops and using the said maps on the vegetation condition of the monitored crops in various agricultural equipments such as tractors, combines or the like.
