The video presents a stable crack growth within a CT specimen laser cut out of a PMMA sheet. The specimens was covered with a fine speckle pattern in order to track the full displacement and strain field during the experiment. These results are qualitative and are only meant to demonstrate the potential DIC applications for fracture mechanics.
