Anuran Amphibians from the Cordillera de Cutucú, Ecuador [link]Paper  abstract   bibtex
Twenty-five species of anuran amphibians are reported from the Cordillera de Cutucú east of the main range of the Andes in Ecuador. One dendrobatid (Colostethus exasperatus) and two leptodactylids (Eleutherodactylus ganonotus and E. pecki) are described as new species. Two species of anurans are endemic to the Cordillera de Cutucú, and two species are endemic to the isolated Cordillera del Cóndor to the south of the Cordillera de Cutucú; two other species are known only from the two cordilleras. The anuran faunas of these two cordilleras seem to have been derived in part from the Amazonian lowlands to the east and in part from the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes to the west.
