JPL to Be First Public Library to Adopt RDA/FRBR. Duke, J. Advanced Technology Libraries, 41(2):7, February, 2012. Paper abstract bibtex The Jewish Public Library (JPL) in Canada will become the first library in the world to implement the Resource Description and Access/Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (RDA/FRBR) by implementeing the FRBR/RDA capabilities of its Virtua integrated library system. Virtua is currently the only ILS offering full FRBR and RDA Scenario 1 support. The FRBR/RDA implementation in Virtua will make it easier for JPL's users to search for information. JPL has a total collection of 180,000 volumes, consisting of materials on the humanities, science, language, the arts, social sciences, and resources dealing with Jewish intellectual thought.
