Evaluation of the relationship between Project Management Methods and IT Project Success Factors. Fischer, D. 2016.
doi  abstract   bibtex
Scientific literature in the research field of Project Success is divided into a wide range of different perceptions of Project Success and findings of influencing factors on Project Success. Next to the division on the research side a gap of understanding seems to exist between research and business in the field of Project Success. In this thesis, I investigate by which reasons the contributions in the research field of Project Success are subdivided. A systematic literature review was conducted in order to define the existing differences between contributions and the identification of research gaps. The systematic literature review considers 185 articles, which are selected following a systematic selection process. The reviewed articles are the basis for a data analysis, which revealed 2228 identified project success factors and 124 identified project methods as single instances. Additionally, the data set reveals the differences of reviewed articles in 21 dimensions.
