Wireless Sensor Networks getting more and more in the fo- cus of practical research, but the costs in time and money for developing and operating an own testbed are still high. Existing sensor testbeds, on the other hand, are working with di erent programming languages and specialized di- alects, what makes it dicult to adopt them for evaluating and testing purpose in new projects. WISEBED will con- nect testbeds from di erent European institutes via the in- ternet and o ers web services to control them. Furthermore we will create the WISELIB, a library that o ers basic pro- tocols like routing, synchronising or over the air program- ming and works as a abstraction layer, so that developers can run their program on all sensor nodes participating in WISEBED and on the simulator Shawn. All testbeds and simulator tasks can exchange data among each other and create on this way a testbed witch is even bigger then the total amount of sensor nodes.
