Organic sulfur dynamics including mineralization and immobolization of various organic fractions. [pdf]Paper  abstract   bibtex
The role of organic sulfur transformations is summarized for ten sites of the Integrated Forest Study, including the Coweeta pine and Coweeta hardwood sites. Both Coweeta sites fell within the lower range of organic sulfur content yet the organic sulfur component represented 63% of total sulfur in the pine site and 83% in the hardwood. Thirteen sites were ranked with respect to potential for formation and accumulation of organic S, with the Coweeta hardwood site being near midrange. Article lists 194 citations.
