Radar Absorbing Materials (RAM) design for a desired frequency and angle range is presented. We evaluate the performance of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Differential Evolution (DE) regarding their applicability to absorber design. The results show that the DE algorithm outerperforms PSO variants. © 2009 IEEE.
