Approximation of nonlinear anisotropic magnetization characteristics. Haas, H. & Schmellebeck, F. IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 28(2):1255–1258, IEEE, March, 1992.
doi  abstract   bibtex
The characteristics of nonlinear and anisotropic materials are investigated, neglecting hysteretic effects. Starting from experimental results, appropriate general mathematical conditions are formulated for adequate permeability and reluctivity functions. For such functions it is shown that the solution of the boundary value problem characterizing the calculation of stationary magnetic fields is unique. Furthermore, formulas for magnetic energy density are given, and examples of admissible approximation functions are presented
