Records in Contexts: A conceptual model for archival description. ICA Experts Group on Archival Description Technical Report v0.1, International Council on Archives, 2016. Paper abstract bibtex The standard in the initial stage of development by EGAD is named Records in Contexts (RiC). EGAD envisions a two-part standard: a conceptual model for archival description (RiC-CM) and an ontology (RiC-O). EGAD has begun its work by developing RiC-CM and, within RiC-CM, identifying and defining the primary descriptive entities and their interrelations that constitute archival description. EGAD has focused on describing the world from an archival perspective, that is, a perspective situated in the specific mandate of archives and grounded in the fundamental assumptions and principles that govern the activities performed in fulfillment of the mandate.
