In this paper, time-domain numerical modelling of soliton propagation in dispersive nonlinear bulk media is considered. An accurate transmission line modelling (TLM) tool based on the direct discretisation of the Maxwell's equations is developed. The dispersive nonlinearity of the material is considered using the Duffing model. The TLM tool provides useful insidht into the spatio-temporal dynamics of soliton formation and propagation in media with dispersive nonlinearity, including the formation of secondary solitons.
