Contemporary politics is marked with an anxiety that we are now “post-truth,” a term that signifies the subordination of facts to feelings, and reality to ideology. “Post-truth,” therefore, promotes ignorance, but how so? This chapter reviews the concept of forbidden knowledge considering emergent concerns about post-truth politics.
