Die Anfälligkeit Der Wälder Deutschlands Gegenüber Dem Klimawandel [link]Paper  abstract   bibtex
The impact of climate change on forests is expected to be strong, even if modest emission scenarios are assumed. Fortunately not all tree species are equally vulnerable to these impacts which mainly express themselves in elevated temperatures and reduced overall precipitation. Depending on their natural foci of distribution, tree species gain or lose congruence with their favourable climatic conditions. Most of native German deciduous tree species like European beech, oak, maple and ash are likely to be less affected by climate change than the widely cultivated conifers Norway spruce, Scots pine and European larch. A main goal of forestry is to adapt German forests to future climatic conditions by altering tree species composition.
