The masses of >60 short-lived Rb, Sr, Cs, Ba, Fr and Ra isotopes were measured at the online mass separator ISOLDE at CERN/Geneva by detn. of their cyclotron frequency in the tandem Penning trap system ISOLTRAP. Resolving powers m/Delta m(FWHM) > 106 and accuracies of typically delta m/m = 10-7 could be achieved. ISOLTRAP can act as an isomer separator, as proven for the cases of 84 Rb and 78Rb.
