Neural Tissue and Its Signals [link]Paper  doi  abstract   bibtex
This chapter reviews the essentials of the structure and physiology of neural tissues regarding, both, information processing and signal generation. On this basis, we discuss the fundamental properties of major classes of noninvasive functional brain imaging methods. Special emphasis will be laid on the role of EEG and MEG.
