Negative and positive effects of the exploitation of gravel-sand. Kowalska, A. & Sobczyk, W. Inzynieria Mineralna, 15(1):105 – 109, Polish Mineral Engineering Society, 2014. Cited by: 4
Paper abstract bibtex Environmental restrictions of sand and gravel exploitation in the areas of nature and landscape conservation cause significant difficulties in mining operations in these areas. The Natura 2000 network is in conflict with the industry, especially in opencast minEng. The article describes the impacts of aggregate exploitation on the environment. It was pointed out the negative impact of the exploitation of sand and gravel on the habitats and species of fungi, plants and animals. It was emphasized the positive aspects of mining operations.
