Continuous-time offset compensated high speed BiCMOS comparator. Larsen, F. & Ismail, M. In Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, volume 1, 1996.
abstract   bibtex
This paper presents a new technique for continuous time offset compensation for high precision comparators. A high speed, high precision BiCMOS comparator was fabricated through MOSIS, and offset compensation was achieved using an offset compensated differential difference amplifier (DDA). Using this technique the comparator was offset compensated without ever being disabled, or disconnected from the signals it was comparing. Thus, an overall much higher comparison rate can be achieved by eliminating the offset calibration cycle.
