A Systematic Review of the Factors Influencing the Acceptance of an Autonomous Bus [link]Paper  doi  abstract   bibtex
Abstract: In recent years, autonomous driving technologies (ADTs) have drawn much attention and have been developing at breakneck speed. ADTs are believed to improve safety in urban areas, reduce the cost for last-mile (i.e., the last leg of a journey comprising the movement of passengers from a transportation hub to a final destination) transportation, decrease congestion, and improve global service for most users. This paper describes the results of a systematic literature review of the factors influencing the acceptance of an autonomous bus. Various factors influencing acceptance were identified from 34 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. In total, there are 26 different factors influencing acceptance, which are clustered in various categories, namely demographic, social, economic, environmental, mobility service, and psychological factors. Results of this systematic review could be valuable for efforts to strengthen the widespread acceptance of an autonomous bus.
