Accurate measurements of the phase modulation induced by known dynamic deformations on a single-mode optical fiber are given in the mechanical vibrations frequency range 2 ɇ 7 KHz. The characteristic phase behaviour can be correlated with the modal frequencies of the structure supporting the optical fiber. © 1981 SPIE.
