A new simulation package, named Siren, has been developed to help meet this need in the Emergency Medical Services area. We discuss the development of Siren, illustrate some of its capabilities, and present some of our experiences in using Siren to model ambulance services both in Auckland, New Zealand and in Melbourne, Australia.
