In this paper we will use the specification of a biochemistry practical work to demonstrate the use of our virtual laboratory platform. This platform has an agent based architecture which we proposed in our previous work. We describe a generic architecture of a virtual laboratory. We have chosen biochemistry major because almost all its courses require experimental work. The real experiments, in a such a field, require expensive materials and might be dangerous for students to manipulate. The objective of this work is to design and implement the remote practical work that we are interested in. We used MaSE (Multi agent System Engineering) methodology to develop the system. This tool must be capable of creating a digital work environment where learners collaborate and cooperate among themselves to achieve the various stages of this practical work (PW).
