 abstract = {We report results of an all-optical switching experiment in a\nphase-shifted fiber Bragg grating. A low power, CW probe beam is\nswitched off (on) by an intense pump beam. We experimentally\ndemonstrated the cross phase based, all-optical switching in a\nphase-shifted grating. The strong enhancement of the nonlinear effect\ndue to the group velocity reduction and the switching polarization\ndependence was observed and theoretically confirmed},
