Ionic transport model for hydrogen permeation inducing silver nanocluster formation in silver-sodium exchanged glasses. Miotello, A., DE MARCHI, G., Mattei, G., & Mazzoldi, P. APPLIED PHYSICS. A, MATERIALS SCIENCE & PROCESSING, 67:527–529, 1998.
doi  abstract   bibtex
The mechanism responsible for metal nanocluster formation during the annealing in hydrogen atmosphere in light waveguides containing silver ions is discussed. A phenomenological model based on ionic transport processes is presented. The theoretical analysis is compared to previous experimental results.
