Floral meristem identity and the A function in Antirrhinum [link]Website  abstract   bibtex
Class A activity, as defined in the Arabidopsis ABC model, has so far not been observed in Antirrhinum. Although the Antirrhinum class A homologues exhibit both FLIP (Floral Initiation Process) and cadastral functions, no loss-of-function phenotype has so far been identified which can separate the determination of the first floral whorl from the determination of the flower itself. Thus it would appear that, in this species, these 2 functions are linked.
