Einige Bemerkungen zu Machauts "Lay de l'Ymage". Mulder, E., M. Musikforschung, 32:58-62, 1979. abstract bibtex (from Earp): Analysis of Le Lay de l'Ymage, Ne say comment (L 14/9), relating images in the text with musical techniques. Discusses number symbolism, Marian symbolism, the variety of means by which strophe 6 (the first to mention bon Amour) is set off, and musical motives that connect widely separated images in the text. The attributes of Love given in strophe 4 are compared to a similar list in Lyon, and both are related to a list in the Roman de la Rose. An anagram found near the end of the lai is similar to the anagram of the Voir Dit (62). Based on Mulder 1978, 81-82 and 118-22, which is slightly fuller in its treatment, including mention of the lai Qui n'aroit (RF1). Abstract: RILM 13 (1979), no. 286
