The introduction of technology in the commercial, labor, personal, everyday field of human beings; laws around the world have been forced to venture into this new era of the 21st century, which transcends borders, limits of language and ideological. Updating and learning of the Venezuelan legislator in this matter is what has driven the development of the present investigation, in which study generically of the conceptualization of the electronic document; birth of the electronic contract, the same development standards; signature electronics with their respective theories and application in Venezuela; concluding the importance of the law governing the matter as soon as it opens the possibility of technology to provide legal certainty to both national and foreign investment and trade relations.
