This research presents an application of the clustering based on Thinking Based - Learning methodology (TBL), which offers guidelines to promote students’ reflective thinking. Within this methodology, the Intelligence Execution Theory (IET) tool will be used to encourage this kind of thinking in the classroom. Having in mind that, in any educational process, methodologies and pedagogical tools have a pivotal role as they are one of the bases for optimizing cognitive intelligence. In this case, it was given a priority to the potential development of a specific linguistic skill. This study presented a mixed methodology with an exploratory and descriptive scope. The main objective of this research was the clustering of the variables of functioning of the reading ability in the English language based on the TBL methodology and its behavior in the left hemisphere of the brain, specifically to analyze the improvement of the reading ability in the English language of the participants of this case study. With the expectation of generating sustainability of adequate levels of performance, instruction and learning of the English language of students at all levels.
