Gwangju: Which Process to Become an International Cultural City?. Petit, O. In pages 213--225, May, 2007. 문화관광부 문화중심도시조성추진기획단.
abstract   bibtex
Today, there are mainly and internationally four patterns of cultural cities: central power management, public & private management, governance process and culture as a brand. At various degrees, each of them can be identified in Gwangju project but public & private management could become the most appropriate. In this case, the design of The Asian Culture complex is a symbolic clue. So, the next step is to build a context on legal, urban and economic sides which guarantees the public & private management process to achieve the final goal, Gwangju as an Asian cultural capital.
