Helvetica Chimica Acta, 90(11):2109-2115, 2007. abstract bibtex Four new glycosides the bibenzyl glycoside alpha,ss-dihydrostilbene-2,4',5-triol 2,5-di-(ss-D-glucopyranoside) (1) the shikimic acid glycoside shikimic acid 4-(ss-D-xylopyranoside) (2) and two phenylethanoid glycosides 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) ethyl O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 2)-ss-D-allopyranoside (3) and 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)ethyl O-ss-D-Xylopyranosyl-(1 6)-ss-D-allopyranoside (4) together with three known aromatic glycosides were isolated from the H2O-soluble fraction of the EtOH extract of the liverwort Marchantia polyniorpha. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidences.
