This work is focused on optimizing adhesion and distribution of colloidal gold nanoparticles on silanized glass substrates intended as nanostructured plasmonic transducer for sensing applications. This system will be used as platform for subsequent functionalization and/or enzyme immobilization. All preparation steps have been monitored by UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.
