In matched filter detection the maximum signal to noise ratio (SNR) is achieved at receiving end can be used as the detection of technique of cognitive radio network. In this paper we analyzed the impact of False Alarm (FA), length of test statistics and threshold SNR in acquiring proper detections or sensing of PU by SUs. From the profile of probability of detection against SNR taking FA as a parameter we determine the optimum condition of the network based on matched filter detection.
