Improving Representation of Divorcing Parents and Children [link]Paper  abstract   bibtex
The article discusses how lawyers can help remove the barriers among spouses in a divorce proceeding and achieve a more compliant transition for the children. Children are considered victims in divorce cases since they are least empowered in family change, easily manipulated by one or both parents and are forced to exercise loyalties in choosing one parent over another. Lawyers are advised to understand and be reminded that children's anger is caused by their fear of the departure of a parent.
