Sampling error of the apparatus was negligible. A sediment gas sampler monitors concentrations by equilibration of dissolved pore water gases with water inside plastic sample tubing, eliminating the problems of degassing and air contamination inherent to other sediment sampling systems. It is simple to construct and operate, enables close interval sampling across the sediment-water interface and causes minimal disturbance of sediments and concentration gradients.","bibtype":"article","author":"Rudd, J.
