Management of the grasslands surfaces for a better farming and landscape protection. A descriptive case in banat plain romania [link]Paper  doi  abstract   bibtex
The management of grassland areas through the correct use of these areas is reflected in the qualitative and quantitative increase in plant production per unit area, the increase of the animal product and the better protection of the environment. The national agricultural context of Romania requires the existence of a Management Plan for each area of grassland and its concession to farmers for a period of up to 10 years. This study was conducted for an area of 945 hectares of grasslands under the protection of the Natura 2000 Network. This study sought to identify a correct cadastral and agronomic management so as to respect the conservation status of the Natura 2000 habitats found in the studied territory. The studied territory was analyzed cadastral and divided into Development Units. For each of these units, the type of meadows, the vegetal production, the correct livestock load, the fertilization plan and the agronomic improvement measures of these areas were determined. The consistency between these agronomic characteristics specific to the grassland habitats and the grassland type and the altitude gradient of the studied territory was achieved. All these elements led to the definition of the management type as well as the forecasting of its application for a period of 10 years. Also, the Natura 2000 Habitats Management Plan has been correlated with the correct use of grassland for a period of 10 years. Finally, we consider that the Management Plan of the grassland areas studied through the correct management will contribute to the development of the farms to protect both the studied areas and the environment. © SGEM2017 All rights reserved.
