Plot Summary:
Omon Ra, an upcoming film, features Brenton Thwaites as Omon, a young man who grew up longing to take to the sky and fly. His friend Mitiok, played by Jamie Bell, pushes Omon to become interested in space travel. Together, the two promise to become Cosmonauts, and sign up to attend a military academy with the hope of ending up with their dream profession. When faced with surprising horrors and impossible choices, just how far will these young men go for their country? What sacrifices are worthwhile? And what degree of loyalty does one owe the nation they were born under?
Featuring a haunting soundtrack and top-notch visuals, Omon Ra explores the very depths of humanity’s fascination with flight and space on a dark, humorous journey through the underbelly of the Soviet space program. Exploring sacrifice, the worth of human life, and the fierce competitive spirit of humanity, Omon Ra will take viewers on a journey that questions the very foundation of what they know, and pick apart the layers of reality one by one.
